Hey everyone!
Thanks for signing up for Haus Party.
We’ll be in your inbox (and on the web) once a week, or so, with updates to make sure you don’t miss any of the cool stuff happening with the team or on the DAOhaus platform.
We’ll have posts from team members, updates on platform improvements, and profiles of some of the awesome DAOs using DAOhaus to work together.
To start, here’s a roundup of a few posts you might want to get caught up with!
Introducing DAOhaus V2
By Cooper Turley
What happens when you bring together some of the most talented DAO wizards to revamp a platform to summon DAOs?
You get DAOhaus V2 — an upgraded, community-operated, sustainability-focused product to spawn magic internet communities.
The DAOhaus to xDai dapp Migration
By Dekan Brown
When we launched DAOhaus last year at EthBerlin, summoning a DAO was around $2.50 in gas. Today it can be anywhere from $50–150 to summon a DAO. At this level, gas prices are an existential threat to coordination.
Eliminating coordination cost is the main purpose of a DAO, so we’ve begun migrating to xDAI. Mainnet Ethereum will always be available, but the xDai side chain will be another option.
This article hopefully will show how easy the process was for us to spin up DAOhaus on the xDai chain.
🏰 DAOhaus x Fork the World🍴
By Dekan Brown
For the Fork the World hackathon DAOHaus sponsored some bounties related to the exploration of the Moloch Minion.
Moloch Minion is a Moloch contract extension that can receive tokens, send tokens, and call external contracts. It has it’s own GuildBank and it’s own proposal process, however, for Minion proposals to pass they need to be approved by their parent Moloch. Think of Minion as a sidecar to Moloch that allows it to do more things in the wild world of Ethereum.
But how does it work!?
DAOhaus Live @ DAO Rush Week
Finally, here’s the video recording of our presentation last week for the DAO Rush Week event.
That’s it! Thanks again for signing up.
Talk to you next week!
