Hedgey NFTs: Time-locked Token Distros for your DAOhaus DAO
What if you could store tokens inside a time-locked NFT?
When you airdrop tokens to your community or contributors, that creates sell pressure.
Sell pressure can lower the price of your token, and that's usually a bad thing.
But what if you could distribute tokens, knowing they won’t just be sold right away?
Hedgey Finance has created a helpful tool that allows just that: Hedgey Time-Locked Token NFTs.
The Hedgey Tool
This tool allows you to lock up any tokens into an NFT for a specified amount of time. The tokens can't be accessed until the time is up, delaying and mitigating sell pressure.
And… you get to send some cool looking NFTs. The Hedgey Hedgehog will proudly rock some styles generated from your uploaded logo.
We’ve found that people get more excited about receiving a cool NFT that contains tokens than they do when receiving the tokens directly.
Here we see Hedgey wearing some DAOhaus swag, waiting for the right moment to unlock my HAUS tokens.
The Boost
The Hedgey Team took the time to build a DAOhaus Boost, so this functionality is available to your DAOhaus DAO now. Just activate the boost, create a proposal, select a token, amounts, recipients and unlock dates and your proposal is ready to go.
As soon as your DAO votes and approves the proposal, Hedgey will mint and send a Time-locked NFT that will hold the tokens until the unlock date.
When the unlock date arrives, recipients can claim their tokens by burning the NFT, aided by the Hedgey website interface.
Ready to try it out?
Check out the Hedgey Boost Overview and then activate it for your DAO now. The Hedgey boost is available on Ethereum Mainnet, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism & Gnosis Chain.
