š Feature Feature
š¬ Donāt miss a thing!
Moloch DAOs are great because membersā funds are always protected. If you disagree with a proposal that passes in your DAO, you always have the option to exit (ragequit) with your portion of the funds in the DAO bank before that proposal is executed. But that only works if you know about the proposal in the first place!
More generally, DAOs are most successful when itās easy for members to keep track of everything thatās going on, especially proposals. Thatās why weāre working on a number of ways toĀ improve information availabilityĀ within DAOs.
First up on our list isĀ Discord notifications for DAO proposals. Once HausBot is connected to your DAO and your Discord server, you can have it notify Discord for changes in your DAO, like new proposals, proposals that have entered the voting or grace periods, and even ragequits. Hereās an example of HausBOT in action withinĀ HausDAO.
Setup is super simple. Head to the Boosts/Apps view in your DAO, select āAdd This Appā under Discord Notifications, and follow the few easy steps in the wizard that pops up. And thatās it!
Currently, any DAO member can set up and configure these notifications, as long as they have admin privileges in their Discord server. Future versions will allow the DAO to grant configuration access to a subset of members via a share threshold or perhaps by assigning a role.
š Party All the Time
As promised, last weekās Haus Party was a spicy one. We had Ameen Soleimani on as our guest and we talked about the early days of Ethereum, and then went on to talk about Spankchain, the birth of MolochDAO and what the future holds for all things decentralized web. Thanks to Ameen and everyone who joined us!
As always, Haus Party Live is open to anyone who wants to join. Watch onĀ YouTubeĀ or join the chat onĀ Discord. Check it out this week for a chat with Kevin Owocki spurred on by this tweet and some of our future plans here in the Haus.

āļø You did a hackathon, now what?
This week in our āš¤ā series weāve got one targeted at the ETHDenver (and beyond) hackathon crowd in which weāre taking a look at why you might want to use a DAO over a multi-sig as the place to put those hackathon winning funds, or maybe just as a place to coordinate your team either way.
Check it out!Ā If you dig it, share the tweet š š
Thatās it. Another week inside the Haus! Reminder:Ā sign up. It letās us know you care š„ŗ
