DAOHaus Version 2 is Ready đ° đ
The foundation was ready, and now, after many months of work, the first floor of DAOHaus Version 2 is ready too. It's move in day!

Meet the HausâŠVersion 2
Three months ago we finished up the foundations of our Haus and launched in epic fashion. (Gotta share this one again to get the most out of it, right?)
In that launch we added custom themes, a new visual style, the activity feeds, and finished up our cleanup of the underlying Pokemol code in our transition to living in the Haus full time. Now weâve finished the first floor of the Haus. Weâve got ourselves more than just a slab of concrete to build on and weâre ready to move in full time.
This week weâre excited to announce our full Version 2 release đ. Props to every member of the DAOhaus War camp who made it happen!

Building the First Floor
Whereas the foundation layer was about getting baseline things in place like old code cleanup and visual style, building the first floor was about features an optimization. This wave of work was about giving DAOs extra powers. We rolled out features as they were ready and dialed them in for this launch with a bunch of killer feedback from the Feedback Farmers in our Foundations Program.
For the last few weeks weâve had a new slot in our newsletter continuing to feature some of our new⊠uh⊠features. And thatâll keep going, so sign up.
But in the meantime, hereâs a quick rundown on what weâve hit there so far, and some of the stuff weâll be breaking down there in coming weeks. All of which you can check out right now with the links aboveâŠ. because all that shiz is live right now.
Whatâs new?
1. Single App
Confused about whatâs in DAOhaus and whatâs in pokemol? No more! DAOhaus.club and pokemol.com had a baby, and itâs named app.daohaus.club (or daohaus.gg, for short). This baby inherited from its parents, and also got some other awesome stuff.
For starters, you can now find all your DAOs in the same app, across all networks, no matter if they live on Mainnet, xDai, Polygon, IDChain, Rinkeby, or Kovan. Youâll find your DAOs in The Hub (more on that in a coming post), and you can discover other DAOs just a click away in the Explore section.
You can now summon a new DAOfrom the same app as well! Weâre cooking up some summoning improvements, too, which weâll cover in a future post.
Free of its other obligations, daohaus.club is turning into a dedicated place to learn about DAOhaus and the moloch DAO framework, including user guides and other documentation.
2. The Hub
Last week, we took our first look at the brand new unified DAOhaus app â isnât it gorgeous? This week weâre focusing on your starting point within that app: The Hub.
Check out the section on the left. This is where you can find all the DAOs youâre a member of â and remember, that includes all networks! You can search or scroll. Anytime you need to get to one of your DAOs, this is the best place to start.
Notice the red badges. Those signify where actions are needed, such as new proposals looking for a sponsor or proposals that youâve yet to vote on. Finally, the right-hand pane displays Recent Activity from across all your DAOs on all your chains.
These are just a couple of the changes weâve made that are designed to make your DAO life easier. Weâll be highlighting a few more in coming weeks, so stay tuned!
3. Custom Themes
Every community has its own personality and unique culture. Thatâs why weâve built Custom Themes, a way for your DAO interface to look like how it feels to be a member.
With our Custom Theme builder, you can select the colors, fonts, and images that reflect your DAOâs personality, and you can even customize the labels for DAO features like proposals, members, and the bank â for example, Raid Guild calls these âQuests,â âPlayers,â and âInventoryâ to reflect its RPG gamer vibe.
For a taste, hereâs the Raid Guild DAO and the FoundationsDAO, side by side:
Custom Themes are one of the first Superpowers available for DAOhaus DAOs. Superpowers (also known as boosts and apps) are extras that allow your DAO to do awesome new stuff. Since culture is so important to DAO communities Custom Themes are free!
4. Discord Notifications
Moloch DAOs are great because membersâ funds are always protected. If you disagree with a proposal that passes in your DAO, you always have the option to exit (ragequit) with your portion of the funds in the DAO bank before that proposal is executed. But that only works if you know about the proposal in the first place!
More generally, DAOs are most successful when itâs easy for members to keep track of everything thatâs going on, especially proposals. Thatâs why weâre working on a number of ways to improve information availability within DAOs.
First up on our list is Discord notifications for DAO proposals. Once HausBot is connected to your DAO and your Discord server, you can have it notify Discord for changes in your DAO, like new proposals, proposals that have entered the voting or grace periods, and even ragequits. Hereâs an example of HausBOT in action within HausDAO.
Setup is super simple. Head to the Boosts/Apps view in your DAO, select âAdd This Appâ under Discord Notifications, and follow the few easy steps in the wizard that pops up. And thatâs it!
Currently, any DAO member can set up and configure these notifications, as long as they have admin privileges in their Discord server. Future versions will allow the DAO to grant configuration access to a subset of members via a share threshold or perhaps by assigning a role.
5. Proposals Revamp
6. Multi-Summoner
7. Gnosis Safes
8. Minions
9. Boosts
10. HAUS Token
Curious about those last 6? Make sure you donât miss our newsletters for the rundown.
Or, go take a look yourself. Donât worry, you wonât break nothinâ.
Whatâs next?
Naturally, the question at any launch is âwhatâs next?â Well, donât worry. Weâve got some big plans. (Iâll say it one last time, sign up for the newsletter, so you donât miss the sweet sweet alpha.)
This weekâs launch signifies a significant milestone in our roadmap. To continue forward and adhere to the maxims established in our manifesto it is necessary to push the boundaries of community contribution, community ownership, and community governance. In the next month weâre going to be working on a lot of things that have to do with the HAUS token and launching the tooling needed to support meta-governance of the DAOhaus platform.
And weâll be talking about it here. So, stick around.
In the meantime⊠head over to https://daohaus.club and maybe move your DAO into a new Haus!
